Centuries ago, a war between the angels and demons. The demons won and they enslaved humans. Now the humans feed the demons their energy, usually while having sex with them.

This is a spicy MM story. We have slow burn, yearning, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, demons and humans. Everything you could want. This book is easy to read, and it was so good just to sit and read straight through.

I love the story. I love Felore, the human man brought to the palace by the king to serve the prince. I love their story and how they get to know one another. Felore fighting back as a human and Alekus fighting against his own nature so not to hurt Felore.

It is sweet, antagonistic. Passionate and caring. Alekus cares so quickly for the human and does what he can to protect Felore even while Felore acts out and argues with demons.

It reminds me a little of a dark mafia romance. There is definitely touch him and die vibes and I will burn the world for you as well.

Oh, and there is a cliff hanger. A good one.
