I traced the curve of your tiny hand,
a miracle formed in quiet grace,
each breath you took, a lullaby
that softened every hardened place.
I never knew my soul could stretch
so wide, so deep, so fierce, so free.
But now I know, because of you
what it means to truly be.
Your cries, your sighs, your perfect eyes

a harbour safe, a steady flame,
