The Space Between Selves
A dark feminist blog exploring goddess mythology, modern womanhood, and female power through poetry, essays, and literary analysis. Along with some reviews of books I love.
Dreamcatchers
Dreamcatchers sit at the threshold between waking and dreaming, order and chaos, the known and the unknowable. They are not just decoration but quiet guardians, a web that decides what is allowed to touch the soul. In their presence, sleep feels less like surrender and more like trust. Even strange dreams are welcome, because dreaming itself is a kind of healing. A reminder that the mind, when it feels safe, knows how to wander and return.
EMDR
EMDR is not about reliving the past but allowing the body to finally let it go. Memories that once lived in my nervous system begin to loosen, losing their charge, becoming stories instead of alarms. It is a quiet, sometimes uncomfortable process, but also a relieving one. With each session, another piece clicks into place, not with drama, but with understanding. It feels less like fixing myself and more like finally meeting myself where I’ve always been.
